insomnia around the corner

Actually I'm in no mood of talking or writing anything and I really have to learn for tomorrow's test but I want to show this mood in a more creative way than just lamenting here.
At the moment I feel inspired by the darker side of life...I was in need of rock, aristo-chic, goth....a little mix of everything so to speak....

God I wish I had the legs to wear the fab jeans from the French Vogue Editorial shoot...they remind me of explosions and space. Love that.

But if I make it to the setting sun

Oooops... darling I forgot to take the children

It feels like I lost 20 000 calories today...I literally raced through the day....from lectures home for lunch, english course, guitar lesson, aerobic horror ... I'm done ;)
It seems like I can be with my family earlier than I thougtht!! Tomorrow right after the last lecture I'll take the train back home and go shopping with my aunt :) Oh how I need that!!! I'm really happy to see my cousins again....they'll be happy as hell, too. That's gonna be fun!!!
So enough of talking...that's (above) what I wore today. BTW the scarf is actually a headscarf granny gave me long ago. I really like it's wram brown shades.

Serena and J.Mendel (monsterpost)

Why is it that before Gossip Girl I never heard of J.Mendel? The dresses are draped, fured and cut-out masterpieces!! And so damn wearable!! When I saw Blake Lively in the bordeaux one (first pic) I searched like stupid through the whole world wide web just to find out from who, when and where XD  But I've to say that this pic isn't that advantageous because the dress in combination with the undone/messy hair and the fat gold necklace gave me some tribal/ethno vibes. So you definitely have to see the episode where she wears that dress because in motion it's just stunning.
The teal dress is actually my favourite of these two because it has that dramatic something with it. This is definitely due to the colour, the draping and floating movement of the mousseline. Reminds  of the stormy sea doesn't it.
Of course there were a few more J.Mendel dresses in the series but they didn't grab my attention that much.

Erinnert doch ein bisschen an stürmische See.

Don't you know sometimes these things they don't work out?

Want to dance right now.

Nope I don't compare myself with Lily

It's for a while now that I feel inspired by the Edwardian era and especially by Lily Elsie so maybe that's the reason why a photo like the left one exists. Probably I should have put there instead of Elsie a profile photo of  a greek statue because that would've been a perfect comparison to me and my profile.

MiuMiu inspiration

Obviously inspired by MiuMiu Spring 2010 RTW. My cousin Meli wanted me to draw  a cute dress that is inspired by something from their living room. I couldn't think of anything but MiuMiu's lovely and at the same time sexy cut-out dresses, so it's just the floral ebroidery on the dress that reminds of the living room curtains.

How to wait for a very long time

Hoodie, jacket, bag: H&M
Trousers: C&A
Scarf: offbrand

Off to guitar lesson now. That's therapy I tell you.

college days

During lecture, I love Arizona's ice tea!!!

Beside the fact that it's damn cold in Kiel and me feeling like an old granny beaten up (still the aerobic courses  after- effects) everything's going kinda well here. Lectures are not that bad and our English courses are purest entertainment. Our teacher reminds N and me of Ben (Billy Talent singer) in looks and the way of talking :) Moreover I sooooo can't wait for weekend coming!!!

oh, your life could be chaos

thank you aerobic courses

Hopefully tomorrow will bring posts in the quality you're used to.
So this is more a post to show my sis who 'reads my shit' (that's what she said)
that my blog is still intact although I'm dead.

Universe prints

Christopher Kane Resort 2011 via Vogue.com

The days where I wanted to become an astronaut are maybe over but the excitement is still there when it comes to space- related issues. It feels like I made a cazillion wishes with each shooting star I saw this year. My point here: For a few weeks now everytime I go shopping I look for universe, nebulae print shirts, skirts and scarves but guess what....nothing!! Nowhere!! That's sucks!! But who would I be when I get upset with such a small matter?? Probably someone else. Well thanks to the blogosphere I found Katjusha's blog with a lot of DIY ideas and yupp there's a DIY tutorial for universe shirts. I'm soooo gonna do this!!!

More Erdem

It seems as Erdem's everywhere...on Michelle Obama's and Anna Wintour's skin and now he designed the SS11 Capsule Collection for Matches. Isn't this video cool but cute at the same time? Valentine Fillol- Cordier is too lovely here and without her this video would have been less magical.

Matches even sells my beloved yellow printed dress but but I guess it's out of my can-afford-that-zone :)
I've to learn to be happy by just looking at it whenever my heart longs for it.
It's nice to see it from the back, too.

What Fatma wore

As you already have guessed the post title is a hommage to Katie. She's pure creativity and I always feel inspired by her.
Well I wore this outfit today at uni except for the 'sexy' slippers...Instead I wore this boots.
I hadn't any opportunity to wear the lately purchased elephant necklace so I was all the more delighted to wear it with my favourite polkadot shirt. You can't see it at all in the picture but the second pendant is Fatima's hand. It seems as if this necklace find it's righteous owner...when I was little I had a dream where I had an elephant as pet and yeah after that dream my parents had a hard time convincing me that elephants aren't meant to be pets....

The barette is DIY. The ballerina button is quite big and looks so cute (If you want to make unique barettes,too.....all the things you need for it can be purchased here)

Erdem Spring 2011

I was swept off my feet when I saw Erdem's Spring 2011 collection...literally. I begged my mom on hands and knees to give me her floral embroidered dresses she used to wear when she was my age now but yeah...my luck most of them get lost somehow and the few she still has are really really really short and simply tight...well I come after my 2 metre tall dad.
All that aside the collection is utterly ravishing. There's not a single piece that I don't like. Especially the white dresses with layers and layers of lace  are a vision.
Typically for Erdem is of course his faible for floral embroidery and yet another time he's excelled himself.
Why I love this collection? I love flowers, embroidery and every colour the paint-box has and now you just have to look at these (shirt-)dresses,skirts and shoes' delicacy and detail. Do you feel the prickling in your stomach and the excitement the vivid colours cause? I do....and I can't wait for spring to come where I wanna dress in bright paradise colours.

One of my most  favourite ones is the white  lace dress whichs is over-embroidered with red floral motifs (2nd row, 3rd from left). It reminded me of the Turkish flag and that those two colours even if they appear simple can be  this mesmerizing.

Just where do I get such a cute collar? A few online-shops had Peter Pan collars but they were sold out immediately...of course. When I see mom this weekend I've to ask her if she would like to sew me one...(it's probably going to end up me lying at the floor, crying and begging for it...)

Halloween

I didn't dress up this Halloween and I kinda regret it but the Halloween vibes just didn't get through to me... Whatever ... my flatmate L and I decided to throw a Halloween House Party next year. I'm sooo looking forward to it. These scetches were made in todays most boring lecture  (=_=)
I guess I had xxxHolic in my mind while drawing the first pic because the house reminded me of Yuuko's. As for the second pic it's obviously 'Nightmare before Christmas's Jack and Zero \(o^O^o)/
